A potential candidate could be working as an Account Executive or in a Business Dev role at an advertising agency or was a mid to senior partner at a commercial production rep agency, or a freelancing sales rep. This person should have a good working knowledge of the advertising industry and the world of commercial film production. Knowledge of original programming development and production is a plus.
The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Building customer relationships and identifying business opportunities, ultimately leading to increased project opportunities.
Strategic planning with our CEO & directors is a key part of this position since it is the NBDs responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, solutions/services the company can provide, and an understanding of the company’s competitors. Looking for someone with the ability to self manage. A key for this role is to be a self-starter.
The right candidate must fit our culture which will require spending time getting to know our directors & their personal brand/style as well as meeting new directors to determine if they are a good fit for our growing team of creatives.
